Mines now working. As Maurice says, broadcast needs to be off in F1 2020. Fanatec LEDs off. I also changed UDP, but just make sure they are the same in Fanalab and F1 2020. I had to go to 30Hz to get it to work smoothly, but it with still work at 60Hz, of a fashion...
Copy the config code from Maurice’s post and paste it over the appropriate part of the config file as per the instruction.
You have the same drivers as me so it should work.
Shout up if you need more help and I’ll post screen shots/config files if you need them...
I tried to copy/paste this in my configuration.xml file located in C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Fanatec\FanaLab\xml (not the same folder than yesterday. Why? I don't know)
And then I tried to change one by one every setting in the telemetry options, the only thing that can bring leds to life is the "Fanatec LED" parameter (but it doesn't use fanalab).
udp telemetry on or off
udp broadcast on or off
ip udp adress: tried to change it (in both the game and fanalab
udp rate: 10, 30 or 60hz
your telemetry: public or limited
I tried everything, even changing fanalab version, so for me it doesn't work and unfortunately, I think fanatec will take ages to publish an updated version of fanalab.
edit: I tried one last time to change every parameter again and now it works.
I already tried this exact same setting earlier, but now it works
Yep, MyTeam Mode actually doesnt work with this workaround.
Maybe that Mode needs UDP format 2020 which is actually not working in FanaLab... So for that mode we need to wait for a new FanaLab version with proper F1 2020 support it seems.
Eventually its also a game issue as other programs like SimHub also dont work in MyTeam (so its not an issue of just FanaLab), so maybe Codemasters needs to fix this...
Comments
No.
But there is a Workaround:
Ta very much.
How many people actually manage to make fanalab work on f1 2020 with the "workaround"?
I tried it several times with this configuration:
Clubsport wheel base 2.5 / F1 2020 wheel / driver 365 / fanalab 1.23 and 1.24: doesn't work.
How did you set the UDP Broadcast Mode? On or off? This needs to be set to off, otherwise its indeed not working...

I clicked again on "Enable telemetry" in fanalab

Then I cant help and you need to wait until its properly implemented into FanaLab in a few weeks (hopefully).
As said, its working for a lot of other people, so there must be some issue on your side but I dont know where, sorry.
I edited my previous post, I don't know why but now I'm glad it finally works. Thanks, let's hope an update soon.
I manage to get the rev leds to be synchronised (with the mercedes), I didn't understand it was adjustable in a different tab.
Thanks.
A little update: it worked fine in hotlap mode.
Now I am coming back to my "my team" carreer and...not working anymore. I'm giving up.
I think someone else reported this - I haven’t tried it yet - one for the bug list if the devs are listening.

Let’s hope so.
Its definetely caused by the requiered old 2019 UDP format which is not working in MyTeam Mode.
MyTeam mode requeired all 22 cars (instead of 20), therefore its only supported in the 2020 UDP format.
So, for MyTeam we need to wait for official implementation in FanaLab with UDP 2020.
Makes sense.
Any update? Still waiting for native fanlab integration in F1 2020.
New FanaLab version, released 3 days ago, is fully compatible.
Does the latest version of Fanalab support the F12020 telemetry, or should we still use the 2019 telemetry?
It's FULL support, including UDP 2020
Excellent. Thanks for confirming.
Fantec did a great job.
Its working , but one weird thing is that a lot of the vibrations are constantly vibrating in spectator mode.
