Metallic friction on brand new CSL elite ps4 Wheel base
Hi everyone,
I just got my brand new CSL elite F1 bundle on friday. I played barely 1 hour just fine but when I tried to turn the wheel while turned off I couldn't help but notice a worrying metallic friction noise.
That noise is not present on the whole rotation of the wheel but only on the top to right 25-30 degrees.
Also I do believe that it is caused by a misconception or a building error because If I try to bend the axis by pulling on the left side of the wheel and pushing on the right side, I can turn around the whole axis without earing that strange rubbing noise.
Do you think I should contact customer support ? Is it a common issue on Csl Elite bases ? I am a bit worried because it is still an expensive product and it is absolutely brand new...
If anyone from Fanatec sees the post, feel free to let me know what you think :)
also i don't feel like it affects the handling, but I'm worried it could get worse if left unchecked :/

For me, this friction is not normal. Contact Fanatec support and show them the video.
It can take a long time to get an answer because they are currently quite busy.

Hey there, I do have the same noise on my recently bought base and wheel.
What was your result by contacting the customer support?
I also just received my wheel, and I also have the same noise. Is this normal behaviour? When the wheel is off, the resistance of the wheel is not uniform across the entire rotation also.
