CSW v2.5 not working/not recognized

I was using the 352 or 356 driver for my CSW v2.5 but I started to get a clonking noise with the fan so I googled to look for a solution and people said to go back to an older driver. So I uninstalled the current driver and went to driver 347 I think. Then my wheel wasn't even recognized by my PC, so I tried to go back to 356 and still got nothing. I have no clue why it isn't being recognized so if someone can help that would be great.

Which steering wheel do you have attached?
After a firmware update or downgrade the Base defaults in Xbox mode and then isn't recognized by the pc anymore until you switch back to pc mode..
Thank you for the reply, I managed to get it fixed. Don't remember exactly what I did but i'm back to where I was before so it works but I still have a clonking noise with the fan and not sure if the fan is even working.
