CSL Elite WRC Wheel, and Dirt Rally 2.0 VR controls.

I can't seem to get the interface controls working via the wheel D-Stick and some other buttons whilst in Dirt Rally 2.0 in VR or desktop monitor. The functions are greyed out. In VR this makes life difficult or impossible navigating the onscreen options. Has anyone sorted this out?
