How to increase ffb around center position?

I have recently purchased a dd1. For the most part, the wheel feels great, but like other wheels I have had before, the on center ffb feels like nothing is there. Comparing to real cars, this just doesn't feel accurate. Is there a way to improve/increase the feel around center other than drastically increasing the in game ffb?

Yes, you can increase the damper settings and the natural inertia. This will make it feel heavier around the center.
