Button Module Endurance Not Being Recognized CSL Elite Wheelbase

I saw another post where a similar thing was happening, but the LCD screen was faint or seemed to not be working.
I cannot get my BME to be detected on the firmware assistant or in FanaLab. I'm using a CSL Elite Wheelbase PS4 edition but connected to a windows 10 PC.
The screen on the BME seems to work fine and shows the fanatec logo when the wheel base is turned on. The Podium hub is recognized and seems to work just fine as do the paddles from the APM.
I thought maybe having the pedals connected to the wheel base was too much for the single USB to handle so I connected the pedals to a different USB port. Still no dice.
Any ideas as to what I can try?

Please have a look at the compatibility part of the BME.
You can see that it's currently NOT supported by the CSL Elite Base.
A future firmware update later this year will make the BME compatible with the CSL Elite PS4 Base.
Darn. I totally missed that when I ordered it. Well I'm planning on upgrading the wheelbase sometime this year so I suppose I'll see if the firmware update happens first or if I get a new wheelbase first. At any rate, thanks for pointing that out!
Do you happen to know more or less when this will happen this year? Are we talking end of Q1 or like Q4? Trying to decide if I want to buy the button cluster pack or just wait it out for a couple of months.
No ETA, sorry. Sometime later this year, not Q1 I personally believe as it's not a thing for the VERY near future.
Thanks for the info!
