Install drivers with wheel on or off

Just got my csl elite bundle,I got the pedals working by downloading and installing the driver for the csl loadcell pedals
I am ready to install the drive for the hub and wheel but remember reading to install the driver first guy the hub with the wheel on? Is this correct?

You can install the driver with the wheel on.
Thank you, I have also read to install drivers and then plug the hub in? But I just watched a video that plugged the hub in and then ran the driver install wizard? Does it matter which I do first? I really want to do it correctly. And Is FANALAB recommend? Or not really needed for a rookie like myself?
