BMW GT2 wheel - gear shifting not working properly on V2

it pretty old (was bought in 2015) but all the drivers are updated. The wheel performs well with DD2 and CSL base but on V2 during the game (ACC and iR) sometimes up- and down- shifters don't perform - you have to repeat the click. I was thinking about wheel's age (mechanoical damage or smth like that) but it work well on other bases. could it be base's contacts problem?
