i’m looking to upgrade from my CSL base to a DD1 on PS however I don’t want to pay for the wheel as I already have the F1 v2 wheel!! It really sucks that fanatec does not offer the base by itself and force u to buy the bundle!!! 😡 come on fanatec!!!! Why the stupid restriction !!

Because of licensing - Sony doesnt allow the base to be sold on its own atm. Not in Fanatecs hands but fully in the hands of Sony.
I’m sure fanatec can make it happen if they want. I mean they sell the CSL base for PS on its own so not sure why they can’t do the same for the DD!
Answered above - seems Sony doesnt want a standalone DD base for Playstation and Sony needs to give green light with a license for the security chip. If they dont want, then there is nothing Fanatec can do.
