My guess is that it got replaced by the CSL Universal HUB? https://fanatec.com/eu-de/lenkraeder/csl-universal-hub
And since the CSL DD Base was announced a week ago at just €349.95, my guess is also that belt drives are history :)
No, it was not replaced as they are two completely different product lines.
They are different product lines, but it's the same kind of product. All depends on whether a new CSW uHUB is planned or not, if not then the CSL uHub in practical terms is the replacement of the CSW uHub.
Still not the case. The CSL UH does NOT replace the CS UHX.
Functionally it does until a new CSW UHX is available.
There, I had to have the last word :P
I hope last word is answer (fact) for original questions, still nothing.
Yes it is likely the Clubsport Universal Hub is discontinued. The Quick Release on the old Hub cannot be unscrewed, taken off, and replaced. Likely a new Hub is coming out that can switch between the Clubsport Quick Release and the new QR2 coming out. You would have to unscrew the QR and replace it with a new QR2.
Sounds reasonable.
You can change QR of CS UHX, however it´s little more difficult because screws of electric board are very tight, maby glued. I had to open it because QR screws were loosen and made unpleasant rattle noise.
Still wonder what is benefit of new QR. I have three wheels and base so it would be expensive to upgrade.
I have 8 or something wheels. They have to make older stuff easily compatible with newer wheelbases, cause millions of ppl have their older/present stuff. They will lose their clients if ppl could just as well switch to other mamufacturer .
And about CSL hub, it's piece of plastic crap, no one would use it voluntary.
