Cutting the top out of the fanatec podium GT3 rim

Thinking about cutting the top out of my fanatec podium Porsche rim so I can see the dash on my cars as it always is in the way I really like the rim with the podium button set up so I don't want to get rid of it but I need the top gone has anyone done this or seen it done or know

if it can be done?

  • Seems like it could be done, however I wouldn’t recommend it as you’ll probably have issues with the rim unraveling from where you cut it, and well as Possible strength lost from taking the top out of a wheel not meant for it.

Check out the turn racing R20 rim, i know you said you don’t want to change rims but this gives you the ability to go back should you want to.

  • The R20 doesn't fit, it covers some of the buttons on the PBME...

In my opinion this is a better option if one is willing to change rims:

  • Yeah I had the same thoughts Riley

That acelith rim looks really good and it's 32 cm says sold out at the moment but I'm going to try to get hold of one thanks for that Torstein really appreciate I didn't even know they had other rims that fit that podium module
