Nvidia Beta Driver + Wayland
I'm using Manjaro with the FroggingFamily linux-tkg kernel and nvidia-all beta driver (495) on GTX 3080. I can get plasma wayland and gnome wayland sessions to load (very slow on startup) and some windows will display, but others won't, and many things are very sluggish.
The one thing that is good now is independent display scaling. That works really well, which is one thing I was hoping to get out of wayland.
I wanted to know if anyone has experience getting wayland to work with the new driver and if it's working well in any DE for anyone? Also how is it gaming?
If yes to any/all of these, what kinds of steps did you have to follow to get it working? Also, is there a better place to get support on this? I'd like to help offer some kind of contribution to improving the state of these areas.
