DD Pro Gran Turismo tilted to the right
Hello I got the new DD Pro wheel and base last week, and I realized that the wheel is not centered (I'm assuming the base, because it's really the shaft in the base that is tilted).
I contacted Fanatec support and they told me that this is normal. I would like to know the opinion of other DD Pro owners. Does this happen to your wheels also? I find it a bit strange that this would be considered normal.
When I'm not holding the wheel, the car always veers to the right. It's not something that would compromise the driving, it's just annoying not being able to have the wheel stay centered and always having to correct this tilt, that is about 5 or 6 degrees.
This is also a video to see what happens in-game: (sorry when i say "caliber" i mean "calibrate" 🤦♂️

Hi, I have the same "issue" but on the left. In the Fanatec contro panel in windows indicate 3-4° on the left. I don't know if is the case to contact the support to get a replacement :(
The wheel sits off centre due to the layout of the magnets and is normal. It the steering is off when driving with the wheel straight then you need to connect to a PC, hold the wheel centred and recalibrate.
Hi, I tried to calibrate with the tool of the Fanatec Control Panel but the situation remain the same...is there another way to calibrate the wheel base?
I try with the calibration of the center in Fanatec Control Panel in section wheel base and steering wheel.
Same issue here. It doesn't pose a problem when in use. I'm happy with Stephen Jays' description for the reason. Seems perfectly acceptable for me.
My previous Fanatec Elite, thrustmaster and Logitech wheels self -calibrated automatically and were as near to dead centre that it wasn't anything I took any notice of.
But then again, these others were not direct drive wheels.
It's absolutely normal. I've had two CSL DD's and they both do the same thing. As Stephen Jay mentioned, it's due to the internal positioning of the magnets inside the base. Yes, it looks a bit odd, but it's not something you should notice while in use and shouldn't affect driving at all. If it does, it's likely that your base is defective and you should contact support.
But is it normal when is switched on? For me no problem when is not working but the problem still remain when switch on the wheel base...a guy suggest me to increase a little bit the natural friction...I don't try, maybe later...
Yes, it's normal even when powered on. However, when you're driving and there is FFB data actively being transmitted through the wheel, it should not be noticeable, and you should not feel anything unusual.
I try to change the parameter of natural friction and now it's ok. I put 15% in this parameter. I notice with this modify then the wheel is more stable and don't go crazy right and left when you put your hands off the wheel. Excuse me for my english...is not perfect
Will try this!
Thank you all for your feedback. It's true it doesn't affect driving, only if you leave the wheel in a straight, then the car goes to the right, it's just a bit annoying but not an issue when racing really.
But did it help with the wheel being off-centre? I tried it yesterday and didn't have any effect, the wheel remains at 5º to the right.
My wheel remain at -2/-3° by default (when you switch on the base, after the calibration) but if you put the wheel in the middlle rimain like this (0°) with the modify of natural friction.
