DD1 Start up procedure

Should i start my DD1 before or after my PC? If i start my DD1 1st when i turn the wheel either without a game running or calibrating in a game, there is resistance in the wheel to return to centre BUT if i start my DD1 after my PC boots up there is no resistance at all, wheel just rotates smoothly, anyone else have this issue?

    Base should always be started AFTER you started the PC and Windows finished booting.

    There should NOT be any center spring resistance after the base started.

    I have the same issue. Brought it and it worked fine for about 3 hours. Then the fan came on and never went off and technical support said I have to send it off to then and I didn’t even have it a day before it broke down
