WRC Wheel not recognized as real controller in Xbox Series X
I have a CSL DD + CSL Elite WRC wheel + QR1 quick connect. Updated the latest drivers and firmware on PC. I've been playing PC games with no issues. I just got a XSX and I have tried using the wheel in Xbox mode with basically no luck.
The xbox dashboard responds to the home button, A, B, bumpers, but when I go to the System Settings and check Devices and Accessories, the wheel is not recognized as a controller. When I start a game using the buttons on the wheel, a message says "This game requires a controller. Press A on the controller you wish to use".
I've tried hard resetting the console with the wheel plugged in and powered on and it always works on the dashboard but not in any games. Also tried swapping to a shorter usb cable and tried both front and back ports, but exact same problem. I can change between PC and Xbox modes on the wheel while connected to the console, so it's not getting stuck or anything.
firmware versions:
Wheel base: 1.1.5.4, 1.0.2.2
WRC Wheel: 4

Ok so if this is you steering wheel. And I not sure it is. It won’t work on Xbox series x it’s PlayStation compatible only. You would have to buy a Xbox compatible wheel.
It could be the direct drive as well.
I have the CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC: https://fanatec.com/us-en/steering-wheels/csl-elite-steering-wheel-wrc?number=CSL_E_SW_WRC_PURE
I also am going to assume that your not stupid and updated all the drivers and stuff. But apart from the and connections to the wheel. It’s there firmware/software.
man’s I realized your wording after I wrote that comment. Sorry about that.
try asking tech support for help if you can find them.
