[Resolved] Cannot Update BMW M4 GT3 Wheel

Hey Guys,


Today i received my Podium M4 GT3 Wheel & in the Driver 440 there is a new Firmware for it (7 installed is 4).

But when i Press the Sim button and plug it into my Pc this error appears:

Error: Connect device failed(Error: UsbHidPeripheral() cannot open USB HID device (vid=0x0eb7, pid=0xa700, sn=).).


Hope that anyone can help me on this.

    Yes, ive deinstalled everything Fanatec Related, Restarted my Pc, Downloaded the 440 Driver from the Forum, Reinstalled everything, Rebootet my PC and then it worked.

    Hope this helps you aswell.

    Thanks for replying, Eric. Did you keep the M4 wheel connected electrically when you rebooted your PC? I'm having problems getting the wheel recognised by PC...

    I take it you updated it via the special Update Cable?

    Okay, sorted! BMW M4 GT3 Wheel is now updated!

    If anyone else has a similar problem then everything that Eric wrote above may cure your issues as they did mine.

    Just an FYI for anyone reading, start the update on your base like you would any wheel and then just follow the instructions onscreen.
