DD Pro quick direction change

Hi, I'm using a DDpro 8nm with the MClaren GT3 wheel. When I change direction from left to right (or R to L) in a chicane the wheelbase makes a short 'cracking' noise. I don't think that it has anything to do with FFB. It comes cleary from the wheelbase. When I turn in after a straight line there's no noise.
Does anyone has the same problem? I use the recommended settings from Fanatec en ingame setting is 5-2

Hi, I have the same cracking noise. I think it is a Problem of the plastic wheel connection. BR Georg
Same here, makes definite plastic cracking/creaking noise. I have in inspected the wheel but looks fine. BTW, mine is the default DD pro wheel. I’m tempted to get the Porsche leather wrap wheel, that comes with the metal quick release
How is the wheel QR connection with the aluminium base shaft? Very light lube on the round depression may help. It is a mechanical device. Just do not get lube on the electrical components.
It’s the standard connection. Not the quick release. I’ll try the lube.
Be sure to use a silicone-based, and not a petroleum-based lubricant, as the latter will break down rubber/plastic surfaces over time.
Gregg, I've used a silicone-based lube and the noise is gone. Thank you !!
