CSL ELITE - Puff of smoke and no feedback

Hi all. Hoping this is an inexpensive fix. I have a CSL Elite and whilst in use yesterday blew a large puff of smoke out and there's now no feedback. In wait for Fanatec Australia to come back to me. Wondering whether paying to repair vs purchase newer model is to be considered. Anyone with the same issue?
