PS4 Podium Wheel Issue

Hi all,

I was driving normally in a race in iRacing and the wheel decided to stop working. Then when I try to restart it doesn’t turn on and it makes a weird sound and it doesn’t feel smooth anymore when I turn the wheel.

Does anyone happen to know what happened and if it can be fixed without sending it back?
