Defective screw on steering wheel: it could have been a nightmare...
I own a clubsport rs steering wheel with a csl dd from less than a year now (playing 4-5 hours per week).
Today I was playing with assetto corsa, driving a 500 abarth with the h-shifter and after sometime I saw something metallic and small fall on the ground.
I noticed it was part of a screw, fixing the left paddle shifter to the wheel (there are 2 for each paddle); strange that it broke when I was not even using the paddle shifter...
Oh...my...god...
I disconnected the steering wheel from the base and started to disassemble it; once done I noticed that the screw was broken, 100% defective; Since the shank was out for about 1 mm, it was impossible to unscrew it with pliers.
Luckily I have a dremel and with a small cutting disk I was able to make a cut and unscrew it with a screwdriver.
FANATEC, please, more quality control, this could have been a nightmare...
