CSW 2.5 is not compatible with PS4/PS5, and if your steering wheel is not X-Box compatible, there shouldn't be any kind of compatibility mode.
i need to switch to compatibility mode for a pc game forza horizon 5 which only gets detected when in compatibility.

The Formula Carbon wheel is PC and PS ready...so I don't understand which compatibilty mode you're searching for...the wheelbase should start in PC mode anyway, with a red ring around the power button......green light when you connect a Xbox compatible wheel or switch mode with an xbox compatible wheel.

The compatibility mode you mention is definitely referring to CSL DD. It is the yellow mode, which makes the CSL DD or DD Pro compatible with CSW 2.5, so that older games will recognize them. But if your wheelbase is CSW 2.5, it's already compatible with itself.
Perhaps the supplied manual mentions an even earlier CSW 2 compatibility mode, but I think it has been removed. Furthermore FH5 was released in November 2021, when CSL DD was already on sale, so I doubt it needs a compatibility mode, perhaps just in the very first days of its release on the market.
in that manual you can see a csw wheel and a section for mode switch. I tried those button combos and it didnt work. I am just not sure.
Thats for very old Legacy Bases, not for the ClubSport Base v2.5.
The v2.5 does NOT have a compatibility mode!
