Anyone tell me why PC gamer should spend 300$ on just 3NM extra torque

I don't understand why DD and DD+ have different torque,there is no technical problem,they should be like CSL DD and GT DD Pro,I think maybe this is just a marketing strategies like iPhone?They want PC gamer spend 300$ on extra 3NM and the unnessary PS support,so they can take more money from us maybe?Or there are some other reasons and cause the gap of torque between DD and DD+,hope some one can tell me,thanks.

    I completely agree however i think Fanatec went and checked the price of a Logitech G923 with 2.2nm and figured they would charge the same for the extra 3nm
