SQV1.5 - Does it potentially work with older sims? (GPL!)

Quick query - is it easy to get the SQV1.5 with the USB adapter working with GPL?

(Currently have a Logi shifter connected via Bodnar USB device, detected/managed via a shifter utility - Shift It! which later became the ACT Labs shifter utility).


But maybe time for an upgrade!

Would the SQV1.5 be expected to run in a similar way via the bundled USB adapter (or via GPLshift or Fairshift ?).


Have tried searching around, but can't seem to find anything definitive!
