That is normal .The Typ of Shaft at the DD Pro and CSl with Micro USB will never be fixied.It is the due of Design that is not the best .The only Base with Rock solid Shaft is DD1 and Clubsport DD.
honestly tell i not have that kicking noise with my csl dd, only noise what i hear at beginning was this qr little noise what come from steering wheel self , and now that is fixed with much better qr2

Others dont seem to have this problem.
Even without the QR2 base installed there is some play in the shaft.
