Clubsport DD, wheel tuning menu freezing

So are Maurice profiles compatible with CS DD. I am having a problem where the LED's on the wheel freeze after a short time driving. If I press the tuning menu button the screen stays black and LED's are lit but frozen. Only way to clear it is to turn off the base then turn back on.
I submitted msg to support but no responseso far.
So what is causing it, it seems only to happen in ACC so far, I have raced in AMS2 without issue. So is it the CS DD, the firmware or software, the Maurice profiles. The CS DD replaced a CSL DD 8nm. I did not experience this issue with the CSL DD.
Did any one else with CS DD have this issue?
Thanks

Clubsport DD firmware was not fully ready at release day
Which FIrmware are you using?
Is it also happening when you dont use FanaLab?
Ok, so I have done more testing. I closed Fanalab and returned to using in game LED's and now it does not crash. I still used your wheelbase settings in Fanalab but loaded them, then closed Fanalab and then ran the game. So looks like Fanalab and/or Maurice' profiles are causing the issue on CS DD.
I am on driver 454, Firmware base: 2.0.1.3 steering wheel is Clubsport Formula V2.5 firmware 47 and wireless QR is at 1.0.0.3
Fanalab version: V2.01.12
Hope this helps Maurice.

I have the same issue. I can’t get my CS DD to connect in AMS2. Is there a special way to configure the wheel in settings? Thank you.
Do you also use FanaLab or is it freezing while driving even without the Lab running and just with the native LED from the game?
Currently it looks like its freezing when it gets too much data, then at some point it can randomly just shut down the connection from base to the wheel.
It is under investigation but without any ETA yet, definitely not this year anymore though.

In addition it is now doing exactly the same in AMS2, frozen with all rev lights lit and no response when pressing tuning menu button. Base has to be turned off and back on to recover
Thank you. It will feeeze with or without Fanalab. I also cannot connect the base to AMS2. I have tried every wheel option in the game. Any advice?
I have connected wheelbase to AMS2 with no issues. I made a copy of my previous CSL DD profile and with that new profile selected then simply calibrated the wheel again and works fine apart from the LED and tuning menu freeze. In my case after freezing the base otherwise continues to function as normal.
Thank you. I will u install and reinstall AMS2 and see if that fixes it.
Clubsport DD used with Formula V2.5 and WRC wheels.
So I updated to latest PC driver 455 and firmware 2.0.1.4 wheel 47 and Wireless QR 1.0.0.3
I also updated to latest Fanalab V2.01.21 but still I get freezing of rev LED's and the tuning button is non responsive. This is in both ACC and AMS2 (don't use other sims)
The problem does not occur if Fanalab is closed. So currently I open Fanalab, load the car profile then close Fanalab. Then issue does not occur.
All worked perfectly when I used previous base CSL DD, so only since installing Clubsport DD
Have others same issue? Is this problem being addressed?
Thanks
Nothing has changed since the answer you have quoted: It is under investigation but without any ETA yet, definitely not this year anymore though.
Most likely a QR overload, so a QR related Firmware issue to be fixed next year.
Thank you Maurice, one other question, Steam reports "unknown controller support" for both ACC and AMS2. I assume this means both sims have not integrated the protocol / controller support for the new Clubsport DD. This seems a little strange as presumably we are not getting the full benefit of the Clubsport DD features. Is full support likely soon? Thanks
Dont understand. CS DD works as "FANATEC WHEEL" in both games already.
Never used anything regarding Steam Controller so cant comment on that.
Ok thanks, I have misunderstood this then. Certainly its working fine in both sims for me and enjoying the performance and faster response and feel compared to the CSL DD. Looking forward to the implementation of Fullforce
Hi,
a happy new year to all!
I run the exact same setup and can confirm the issues in ACC and AC.
Best wishes
Stef
Hi, i have the same problem i will go into a a race everything works and then my rev lights freeze and my tuning menu o
as well until i turn off and turn on base again. @Maurice said could be QR related Firmware issue and i just want to mention on that that when i got my Clubsport DD it was giving me a hard time upgrading the firmware for the QR i had to try multiple times as it was failing and then it updated it. For me the issue is also in ACC as thats the only sim i play.
what steering wheel? i to have seen freezing under development before
Hi, i am usin the Formula V2.5x wheel but had no trouble with it with my GT DD PRO wheel base i am almost sure that its a QR firmware update as when i was updating my firmware when the base got updated then i think i put my wheel on and calibrated it and when i tried to update QR firmware it failed and did not detect wheel. So i followed the trouble shoot protocol turned off base and turned it on, changed usb ports then tried updating QR firmware again it failed so i turned off base turned it on agin i think i also restarted my pc and then tried and it worked it finaly updated the QR firmware on my base.
On the other hand i dont thik its the QR firmware as i did test the wheel with fanalab off and Fanatec leds enabled in game and everything worked fine with my wheel. The issue is something in fanalab i think.
No. The issue is definitely not in FanaLab.
It is a CS DD exclusive issue, related to a QR overload which just happens easier with FanaLab (and especially with my profiles as my profiles do quite a lot regarding LED and Display features) which the native game LED support simply does not do and therefore it is much less likely that the issue happens without the Lab.
It is just the question if this QR overload can be fixed with Firmware or if it needs a hardware fix. This will be investigated with highest Prio in the coming days and weeks.
only what i know about this is, if send LED data tho sdk too fast it may start look like its been freezed but really happens that there is some huge delay. for this kind issue i need use self the delay for not send data that fast
Unrelated. When the QR overload happens, then its much more than just a huge delay - the whole Steering Wheel connection is lost and no Steering Wheel at all is recognized by the Base anymore until the Base got restarted.
i not say that is something todo with Fanalab but as Martin Bailey tells, it does happen with ACC game, so there could be that issue in that game
It happens with every game as other reports of affected users also mention AMS2, iRacing and even F1 - so totally unrelated to the game.
well, if its something todo the data flow speed , then CS DD does use 300mhz cpu that is way faster than csl dd or DD1/DD2
it could be that those steering wheels cant keep up that fast data. im just say because myself not have the CS DD
I had a look at the logs...
In the FLControl.log there are many entries like:

The Display and LEDs works fine, but after a few minutes they freeze completly
any news to this topic?
No. Still under investigation.
Is anything happening on this. Gett ing bored with having to start Fanalab, manually load profile, then close Fanalab to avoid the LED and tuning menu freeze.
Thanks
still waiting too... very sad indeed 😴
