Has anyone else had issues with the game seeing the V2.5 as the GT DD Pro wheel?
This mainly causes issues for button assignments. Bit frustrating though.

That's normal.
Wasnt with my old CSL Elite.. The game could tell which wheel I had attached to the base?
No it couldnt.
I assure you it could cause I had all the buttons mapped for both my csl elite wheel and the F2.5. Swap wheels and it would work on both.
if you’ve only got the wrong information to add move along I know what worked cause I’ve been using it for the last 2 years.
GT7 only has presets for whole Racing Wheel bundles (so CSL Elite with the P1 PS4 wheel, GT DD Pro with the GT DD Pro wheel, Podium Racing Wheel F1 with the blue Formula v2 Wheel).
It was never possible to choose any different wheel in GT7. Of course you could still configure every Button manually, but not from a preset.
That's simply not the case.
My CSL Elite base with the F2.5 would select the Podium preset.. The same base with the P1 wheel would select the P1 preset in GT7.
Why is that hard to understand.
That's wrong.
Chosing the Podium F1 preset with a CSL Elite base Doesnt change anything. You cant select the preset.
It's Placebo.
but ok, if you really believe so.....
How many times do I need to explain it... You cant select wheel profiles in GT7 cause it selects it based on what you have connected.
All the buttons on my F2.5 were mappable when it was attached.. If I put the CSL Elite wheel were all mappable when it was attached. The CSL Wheel is in the profile list and the F2.5 is listed as the Podium wheel. I'd edited both to my liking and now the game isnt seeing the F2.5..
Now the F2.5 isnt working as the game is selecting the DD Pro wheel profile.
Do i need to swap the F2.5 back to QR1 and test it on the CSL to prove to you?
I only posted this here in the slight hope that it might be something that Fanatec might be able to review and provide a fix.. I also asked it to GT pages on FB and X in case they can do something.
Peter, you need to put the DD+ in PS compatibility mode to do this, then you are correct. In normal PS mode, Maurice is correct.
