Wheelbase and brake issue

Hi,

I have a strange issue, when my wheelbase is turned on it activates my brake. The brake value keeps jittering on the fanatec control panel. My pedals are connected via USB and once i turn off the wheel base the brake reads fine and brakes smoothly.

Tried googling around and have only found one symptom with no answer on the forums.

Firmware

wheel base: 1.1.11.3

wheel base motor: 1.0.3.2

Steering wheel :47

Wireless QR: 6.0.1.1

Pedals: 1.6

I have also tried flashing the firmware and reinstalling fanatec software. Have swapped around USB ports for pedal and wheel base but still the same issue.

Anyone experience this before? Otherwise I may just need to raise a case to fanatec.

Cheers

Which wheelbase do you have? Are you on PC, or Console?

  • I'm on PC using the CSL DD with 8nm kit and CSL elite v2 pedals. Steering wheel McLaren gt3 v2.

  • If the interference goes away as soon as you turn off wheelbase, it's EMI.

Connect your rig near the pedal board, to the ground pin of your electrical system.

  • I've tried moving it closer - changing wall sockets and unplugging everything else. Even if i remove the steering wheel and turn just the shaft it still activates the brake. It has worked fine for almost a year since purchase.
