Major QR2 Problem

Just got my QR2 Base side and Wheel side today. My base is the DD2; I have a McLaren GT3 wheel. Latest drivers and firmware installed.

Everything seemed to install easily. When I turned on the base the software detected the base and also showed the QR2 attached to it. THEN, I attached the wheel to the base. Immediately a "no Fanatec device found" screen popped up. This happens every time I try. I rebooted my PC, reinstalled the drivers and tried to fake calibrate the base while it wasn't attached to the wheel. If I turn off the base and turn it back on to have it redetected the base, it shows up again. And it still shows the QR2. But as soon as I attached the wheel--NO FANATEC DEVICE FOUND!

Now, the last time I tried ,I got this new message:

UPDATE MODE: PDD Quick Release

Error: Connect device failed(Error: Initial ping failure: No response received for ping command.).

Power OFF the wheel base and retry update.

If the problem persists, please contact FANATEC support.

Any suggestions, please?

  • added cables correctly for your qr2 ?

  • I had this happen once. I fully uninstalled the driver, then reinstalled. That solved it.
