I don't know if this happened to me before. CLS DD 8NM
(Before starting I'm sorry for the English, it's the translator.)
Hello! I've been driving for 2 months and I've never really noticed this;
When I reach the maximum degree of rotation, I can continue turning the steering wheel infinitely (It goes a little harder but not much), when I let go it goes to the end of the rotation angle that I have selected.
I have played with the steering wheel alone and I don't have any problems but it is really strange because when, for example, I leave the track I go crazy turning the wheel. (I think the forceedback works well since, as I say, I've only been playing for a short time and I haven't tried another wheel, I've also tried more games apart from iracing and the same thing happens to me).
This is a short video:
what is happening to me normal or should I talk to support?
Comments
no. it is not normal at all.
fanatec steering wheel end lock is kind off hard, you should not able rotate that easy in 8nm
doing this for purpose is not good tho.
if you feel that CSL DD is way too weak.
fanatec does sells also for rambo users the DD2
https://fanatec.com/eu-en/racing-wheels-direct-drive-bases/direct-drive-bases/podium-wheel-base-dd2
this is normal and is the biggest flaw in csl dd for having very soft end locks
I heard that this might be corrected in a future update, and the lock will be stronger.
This is currently completely normal
make stronger lock is possible yes. for Example RENNSPORT game it's very hard
but what you see in this video is way too soft for 8nm . i cant todo that with my CSL DD like he does in his video
joking around with this is not good tho, stuff like this is controlled by power transistors, they may blow up if you todo some hand exercises for fun .
there are DD2 for this where it may match with your own power
