Back catalogue of Drivers

Hi all, my podium DD1 has fallen ill of the latest update and I’m having issues that have been posted on here many times šŸ˜”

is there a simple list with links to download each firmware release in order?

and why dear Fanatec can you be allowed to produce firmware that encourages you to update that destroys you DD and messes your investment in sim racing.

pretty lame since you take a lot of our hard earned money and then offer bad software.

perhaps you tell little what exactly fallen?

if start from beginning and you are new user then 451 way to go.

there are some issues with 455,

but if you know how already what todo with they software updates and how it should act then it should be not a high problem

I haven’t used my DD for a long time due to being ill.

So now I have time I fired it up.

Fanatec control panel showed there’s an update v462 and updates for the motor / base and WQR.

This is my big mistake…. I updated !

From that I had intermittent OLED screen on the DD and constant 100% fan.

So reading the message on in the Fanatec control panel software  I went through the steps to try the firmware via each link.

I followed the process to the letter each time.

*PC is up to date, virus software off, cables checked and so on*

No version works back to “normal”

I’ve tried other Driver update versions but these load to the PC fine, show the Fanatec Control panel but do nothing to the DD other than run the fan at 100% and NO OLED screen. The QR rotates and goes to center.

    That’s it !

So in all version that install the Fanatec Control panel they say the Motor / Base and WQR need updating.

When click the update button on screen after a few minutes throws up an error report saying

“ A problem has been encountered while starting Update Mode (Motor).”

From here I can get no further.

I have also tried holding the power button and using lower numbered Driver version ie, 336 …. Installed them the pre control panel way.

This results in 100% fan, shaft centers and OLED comes on (not all the time ?)

I have raised a ticket with Fanatec Support- they answered within a few hours but only telling me to go through the steps I have already tried many times.

Any help … especially from Fanatec on here would be welcomed.

IS THERE A DEFINITIVE LIST … IN ORDER OF COMPATIBLE DRIVER VERSIONS ???

  • I also get this :

    Message Logs

    Wireless Quick Release Update Mode

Error: Connect device failed(Error: Initial ping failure: No response received for ping command.).

  • Sounds bad, can you get all of the motor, base, wheel and WQR FW versions and post here, is base at 3.x.x.x and motor at 40, 38 or so and not a 3.x.x.x. based number ?

"I have also tried holding the power button and using lower numbered Driver version ie, 336 …. Installed them the pre control panel way."

If you have tried the correct procedure already, then I have nothing to help, will however PM you a solution that worked for another User.

  • like rest off people who had 100% fan problem, you need downgrade the firmware based off current firmware what it shows, and then go up again from there

  • There is no master list unfortunately - you have to look at the changelog for each of the Driver packages under releases and see if each FW piece gets updated - says NEW - or stays the same.

  • Thanks all of you for your replies.

Ive tried all what you’ve suggested so far and not even going back to 336 and working up version at a time works.

Maddog-IC Please send the solution so I can try !

again thankyou to you all šŸ––šŸ»
