Help
I am coming here to ask for help as the support system has gone really annoying so i cant reach out for technical support as my product was a gift so can’t add it to website. They no longer let you contact them unless you have a product registered which is annoying. Anyway i have a dd pro and a load cell. It has prompted me to update the firmware so i did this. Anyway ever since the update the wheel just goes dead for no reason the gear changes. It is an absolute nightmare and has already cost me two ranks in DR! I Play mainly gran Turismo 7 on ps5 standard. The issue virtually makes the wheel unusable. Has anyone else suffered from this problem? What did they do to resolve it? Ps my wheel is 1 months old and i have probs done about 40 k miles on it. I don’t think it is a hardware issue though. Normally i just have to turn the wheel on and off to resolve. Thanks in advance for the help!

Sounds like you are running on an old firmware, update to 463
Hi Jack,
we’re sorry that you feel unsupported and that your experience has suffered since you’ve updated the firmware for one of your products. Did you know that the serial number can be found, in this case under the wheel base? With this you can register your product in your customer account and then submit a support ticket: //bit.ly/4fvtZKX . For this issue we’d advise to update the driver of your wheel base to either the newest version 463 - or to a previous one that worked for you - with the help of a computer: https://fanatec.com/eu-en/driver . It could also be that after 40K miles, the shaft of your wheel base isn’t properly seated anymore. So, you can try reseating the shaft with our tutorial as shown here: https://youtu.be/q73Kw6knoBQ . Please let us know if we could resolve your issue.
Best, your Fanatec Team
I am on 463 that is when issue started when i updated to 463 James. Only other time I have had issue is when it prompted me to update and shut down. Now it doesn’t prompt me to update post firmware update it just shuts down with no warning. The only thing i can do is reset wheel and restart which always fixes but also always ruins my race which is highly frustrating when i primarily race online and it impacts my driver rank.
bump anyone else got any ideas so I don’t have to dismantle wheel to find serial number? Didn’t know it was going to take me virtually a full working day to perform a firmware update. Can i suggest James as feedback that the serial is put somewhere that doesn’t involve complete rig desembly to view! i know you guys get a lot of bad press lucky i got my wheel before Black Friday last year. But i heard lots of horror stories of people not getting their wheels for 6 months and not been there did extremes ages after release. So i really hope as a premium brand under new ownership you can be easier for existing customers to deal with. I mean i spent 3 times what i spent on my ps on this wheel and i have to do all the leg work. You should be bending over backwards to fix an issue for this like me. But don’t worry with all this work i have to do to resolve i will be going on all the live streams and discussing issue. Trust me i am a very respected member of the community so wil get plenty of eyes and ears on YouTube when i discuss this farce!
