Hi all,

I'm new here so apologies if there is already a thread ongoing about anyone having similar experiences.

i have had my CSL wheel for around a year now and although I think it’s great, I can’t help but feel that it’s unrealistic feeling.

I mainly play AC (content manager) and ACC. The issues I’m having are mainly on AC where I feel that the steering wheel is just far to snappy. I have followed the full recommended settings for both wheel base and game and I just feel that it never feels close to any sort of realism (I have 10 years experience on track days etc, not just going from gaming knowledge lol).

I guess the easiest way to explain what I’m feeling would be to highlight losing any sort of traction or “power sliding” out of a corner. Whenever there is the tiniest bit of oversteer the steering wheel just seems to be so over powered with the at the wheel snaps back and forth and if I let go of the wheel completely it will just spin back and forth to the point it could break your wrists lol.

the unrealistic snappiness is what is ruining the experience for me and from real world knowledge I’ve never felt a wheel snap the way that this does and something I’d love to resolve.

    Thanks for sharing your experience Ashley! It sounds like the force feedback settings might need some fine tuning to match your preferences and real-world track experience. While the recommended settings are a great starting point, sometimes tweaking the Force Feedback Intensity (FFB), Natural Damper, and Steering Speed Sensitivity can make a big difference. In AC via Content Manager, try reducing FFB Gain and increasing Damper slightly to soften the snappiness. In ACC, experiment with lowering Dynamic Dampening and adjusting the steering gamma to smooth out the response. Let us know how it feels after these tweaks!
