Handbrake v2 Stiff/Locked

Hi guys
Just got my handbrake today and after attaching the handle I tried using it. It feels like its locked tight as in no movement or give in the elastomer at all, to the point where I dare not try harder cause I might break it.
Am I missing something and being an idiot, can't find any pin or brace preventing movement, tried loosening the bolts around moving parts but to avail. Any one else have this or any advice appreciated

That's by Design.
You can basically only move the lever when the Handbrake is properly attached to a simrig, otherwise it's so stiff that you cant pull it as it's a Load Cell Design which measures force instead of travel.
So all good ;)
I also felt the same way.
I removed the pressure shaft and put a rubber sheet between the pressure plate and now it's comfortable.
Mounted mine to right side of CS Shifter v1.5 and made shifter platform flex too much when pulling handle. Re-mounted to left side and puts HB closer to platform upright centerline reducing flex and much easier to use.
Is a softer elastomer kit in the works? I would get one.
There's a decent reddit on this topic (V2 Handbrake - What's Your Travel?) with a couple videos, one showing the issue I have and the other normal operation, as is also shown in the Boosted Media review. My handbrake is so immovable pulling it too hard actually adjusted my R-Seat rig. I reinforced w/ Loctite and the handbrake still won't move. For me it's not an issue w/ the pre-load either as min / max pre-load do not change that I don't have 10 mm of travel let alone 60-80mm. Users seem to believe the elastomer is too hard, which seems reasonable looking at mine - the elastomer in my device much more closely resembles hard plastic both in look and sound (based on a couple light taps w/ my fingernail). So, @Alex Humphries, I doubt you are missing something or being an idiot as others are having the same issue.
Strange, mine is between the two. Stiffer than the "normal operation" but I can pull it. I don't mind it as it a loadcell anyway. But some consistency would be nice. Maybe they should release an elastomer kit to make it customizable.
With the very stiff things there is some manufacturing issue with the elastomer I think.
