Shifter does not work (anymore) in seq mode - gear 3 always activated

Hi there,

my shifter stopped working in seq mode.

Normally the fanatec driver should show "3rd" gear when pushed up - and show "4th" gear when pulled down.

Without movement, it should not show any geal -> neutral

But my shifter keeps showing 3rd gear when it is untouched and should show nothing...

H-Pattern does work without problems.

Any hint, what IO can do?

It is connected via RJ12 to my CSL DD Base, most current driver and firmware.

Calibrated it several times.

  • On Mine in the driver software when I select sequential mode it changes to show the sequential pattern which is just a line. I would updating everything.

Hi there, We’re sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with your shifter in sequential mode, but let’s work together to get this sorted out! It’s great to know that the H-Pattern is functioning correctly, as it helps narrow down the issue. From what you’ve described, the shifter remaining stuck in “3rd gear” might indicate a misalignment or internal sensor issue. Recalibrating was a great step, and it’s fantastic that you’ve already ensured the drivers and firmware are up-to-date.

One thing we recommend is double-checking the RJ12 connection to ensure it’s fully seated in both the shifter and your CSL DD Base. If possible, try using a different RJ12 cable to rule out a connection issue. Also, consider testing the shifter on another compatible base or device to see if the issue persists. If none of these steps resolve the problem, it’s possible there may be a hardware issue, and our support team would be happy to assist you further.

We appreciate your patience and effort as we work through this together. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team if you need more assistance or to explore warranty options. Best, your Fanatec team.

  • I have the same problem.

And I also tried all the methods but it doesn't work. Unfortunately I didn't read the solution.
