Formula 2.5X misshifting
I have Formula 2.5X, ordered from BF 2023, delivered in March 2024,but haven't use it a lot since. Literally it have maybe 2 hours of driving. Still loved my modded Mclaren wheel more than Formula. But started it using in in last few days with some F1 cars, and encountered many problems with misshifting. It's very annoying, sometimes needs to press 5 times to shift up or down. Seems happening more when wheel is turned a bit. It's literally brand new, so I researched and found many with excat same problem. Tried some tweaks from those guys in SW part, and also Fanatec mods on forum, but didn't helped. Please do I miss something, maybe some small mod or whatever, as I only heards bad thing about Fanatec RMA process. And I waited for that wheel for 5 months :/
It happens in multiple games, ACC, Assetto Corsa, WRC24.
Using CSL DD, V2.
Thanks

Try driver 455 from here:
https://forum.fanatec.com/discussion/29180/fanatec-driver-455-prev-release-for-csl-cs-and-podium-all-wheels#latest
Uninstall driver, install this one, go into firmware and overwrite the firmware of rim.
Shifting issues on 455 were veeeery rare, on 464 even rhytmic pressing of a single key can cause presses to be either not registered at all or hang. I am even able to somehow crash the firmware of my porsche hub by pressing too many keys at once.
Corsair should think about swapping some of the software developers.
perhaps not swap, maybe some fresh to the team, hardware development is not easy task. any beginner who may not know much may make more damage than fix anything
I also advise the downgrade route. Missed shifts are such a huge headache to deal with and I recently did this myself.
i had this issue especially on downshifts there where a lot of misses (lot of races destroyed), but i used it a lot more than you. I decided to contact the support and after a video from the control panel where the miss shifts can be seen they proceeded with the rma. Now i got the deliver data of the new wheel so that one was broken in the end.
hope you not get disappointment, but for me looks more like issue comes from firmware
because there are clearly no miss shift issue in 455 firmware
yes in some case it could be also hardware
what they can todo is just send you exact same steering wheel but there is just older firmware inside what does not have that problem
the serial number is different and also the name on the wheel it has an M, I don't know what that means, anyway if they ship the same i will follow tour advice of the firmware
i think that m means Microchip version but not sure
they to been talk about the m versions before so its not really self new
ok the new wheel arrived today (it's a new one) after a lot of issues with firmware update (no image found) i made it and it works fine but sometimes it misses, it's very rare then before and only on the tap so i will try to downgrade
