Intermittently Disconnecting

My pedals keep coming disconnected while racing or playing. I get a bump in the wheel and then I loose a control of the pedals.

If I understand your issue it's close to mine, I got it during iRacing three time this weekend (two time during the last 15 Minutes of the roar).
What happened to me was the following :
Driving in the oval, fix steering wheel, keeping close to the yellow line.
Then for 1ms maybe 2, lost FFB (as you said, a bump in the wheel) - i didn't check the throttle/pedals to be honest, but the wheel did a bump like loosing ffb (which is NOT GREAT). Still i was able to finished it.
Looking the forum yesterdays, it seem this is link to USBs issue on my computer where there is too much peripherical and sometime it can do tricky stuff (and i'm not surprised)
On your side, I have one question :
1. Is your pedals connected to the wheel base, or USB Independant ?
If your pedals are connected in USB then it can confirm the USB issue (bump in the wheel base + loosing pedals, since when USB failed, it failed for "all" most of the time)
1500 lifespan, best would be that you not play with your usb ports too much, they are not toys
