UPS delivered without notification or tracking nr

Hi everyone!
I’m quite upset, I didn’t receive any information on delivery by UPS, no tracking nr, absolutely nothing, and now they just placed my 600€ order in front of my door, and I’m not at home (holiday)…
Thank God a friend of mine came by by chance and took care.
Fanatec, you should kick UPS‘s *ss, this is unacceptable!
It could easily have been stolen or soaked wet, and I didn’t even know about it…
My friend already suggested to say I didn’t receive anything… I won’t do that, but again, please take care!
Edit: It would be nice if I could edit my username in retrospect as I made a little mistake there… :/

It’s fanatec problem not ups.
UPS should be requiring a signature on delivery. Definitely not Fanatecs issue that the delivery driver left the package out in the open.
Fanatec is responsible to provide all info about tracking not UPS
when did you order ?
Last week Fanatec wrote that they are processing and that UPS will send me the delivery Infos like tracking nr, delivery Date etc… It used to be like that in the past…
I‘d also say it’s a UPS problem, especially leaving the stuff in front of my door without permission, any kind of information or getting the delivery signed…
I ordered by the end of September.
on their faq about delivery delays is said that there is a problem and a lot of customers don’t an email from ups and you need to check your order on fanatec site threw the PC version of it.

yeah, users need keep eye at they orders for see when they get tracking number, i not get any info either at UPS in last time when i ordered

I understand everyone can have problems, it‘s ok for me, and I never had any problems with Fanatec before (10+ years), and I'm not blaming them now, the problem is UPS leaving the delivery outside without any notification or having it signed by the receiver (should be mandatory as Dan suggested)!
are you from germany? i think i saw in somewhere forum that there was exact same issue with other customer, no info and suddenly ups was behind door.

In a different post here in this forum I saw a hint to turn your iPhone horizontally, and this must apply to iPad, too…
I was checking my order in my Fanatec account daily on my iPad and didn’t see any tracking number, but now on my phone I can see it when holding horizontally…

Tracking works, UPS delivered two days ago, so the order was lying in front of my door for around one and a half day…
Conclusion: Check your orders in your Fanatec account and when shipped, don’t wait for a notification by UPS, but find the tracking number in your orders (if you check on phone or tablet try horizontal mode)!
Still I don’t understand that they just placed it outside in front of my door, no signing, nothing else… UPS, that’s not ok!
For anyone not aware. If you set up UPS My Choice then you will get your tracking numbers before Fanatec give you them.
