Finally time to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11?
Are there any tangible reasons to upgrade to Windows 11 from 10 in regards to Fanatec hardware/software point of view?
My PC specs
Motherboard Z690 / i5-12600k / RTX 3060ti / DDR4 2400 (32gb)
Rig

Thank you

No.
Can you help me understand the disadvantages of 11? Or is it that there are no advantages?
I am planning to buy a new pc I play on the ps5 right now but wich race games do you play on your pc?
Just my opinion. My work PC has had Windows 11 for about 2 years. So I've been working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week for two years with Windows 11. Windows 11 is terrible, an alien object, a waste of time, impossible to use quickly, slow and cumbersome, far from intuitive. So similar to Windows 10 and yet so stupid.
Windows 10 works, why waste time and install something worse? When it is no longer supported, I will install windows 12.
You should upgrade due to your processor. You have efficiency cores, different from previous generation chips. Windows 11 is allegedly better with the newer chips than Windows 10 would be. You could look into it more, I wish I knew the specifics of how much of a gain it would be.
It'll take just a few hours to get used to the UI changes, but everything else works fine for me (gaming, programming, some photo editing). I do have that same processor, so Win 11 made sense for me.
It's a short list....iRacing
what do you mean with slow i can use shortcuts for almost everything and u can find it quite fast when u know win 11 i have no problem at all when i stepped on win 11 since launch
Some people get frame stutter in win 11, but it was fine for me.
yes. when 10 ends at next year October, there would not be anymore support for this.
some say its not point upgrade, but software companies may force todo that because they may stop support that
so long i get new drivers and updates i will stay with 10. Never change a running system.
but you wont get updates - especially security updates. But if you want to run an OS with vulnerabilities that will never be closed, you go for it....
He said, he won't update for as long as he receives updates... By extension, this means he will update when he no longer receives updates.
Keep up Darren! :-)
I use my CS DD on Win 11 and knock on wood, everything works fine.
Been on Windows 11 since release and have had my DD couple years, works fine.
That could be a number of issues with how they manage the build, if it's using traditional management tools or if they are using cloud management. How many polices or scripts they apply, and if they have conflicting settings.
Thanks for all the feedback, I think I will give Windows 11 another go.
