Fanatec experience
Hi everyone, I just want to tell my experience to everybody who wants to order from FANATEC in the future.
So, firstly, order placed on Nov 23, It got delivered on Dec 6 , which surprised me, because there was of course the black friday sale, and there was already a delay, so I was kinda happy, until I received a defective wheel base / wheel OUT OF THE BOX, so I had to send it back, 3-4 days spent discussing with the Fanatec support, because of the RMA, the product was on the way back to them, they repaired it, then shipped it on Jan 3, and UPS told me that they will deliver it on Jan 8. When it arrived to a nearby UPS station, they told me that the street adress is incorrect, and now I am trying to solve the problem... So in summary, they send me an already defective product, had to wait a pretty long time because of the RMA process, which is undersantable, because of holidays, and now they mess up the delivery adress, which wasn't changed since I received it on Dec 6. Of course, not Fanatec is the only one to blame here, but that I got an already defective product, then the delivery adress is messed up, is kinda disgusting. Lost more than a month of guarantee, I asked them to extend the guarantee period, they told me that they will to it, of course, as expected, nothing happened. If you still want to order from this company, count in that there are a LOT of quality control problems with the CSL DD, so if you have the money, go for another brand. These products are amazing when they work, but as I can tell, defective products are pretty common there.

Defective products are pretty common if they sell thousands of wheels and wheelbases every day.. and especially on a free forum where normally if you don’t have problem you don’t post “everything fine”.
you got confused. there are plenty of people who come and do just that, to say “everything fine”, or really like their products, etc. but of course there are always more negative things on the forum. because those who have money and don't have time to mess around, sell this crap from FanaSCAM and go buy Simagic, Asetek, Simucube, Moza, etc.

There's only a handful of people with other brands on a massive discord server I'm on. They have suffered disconnects and issues. Does that by your logic mean these other brands are terrible too?

Update: I received my base and wheel back today from Fanatec RMA service, my wheel base has absolutely no power, tried reseating the shaft, everything, it doesent turn on, after THEY SERVICED it, I mean, I sent in a wheel base which could at least turn on, but now I got back one completly bad... before RMA (out of the box) https://youtu.be/ai-gmuAJh6M and there it is, what I got back now https://youtube.com/shorts/kPc9_u6-cD4

I mean, it's kinda disgusting what they are doing, but I'll let you guys decide... If you order a csl dd, then pray that you don't get a faulty unit.
Before you dig yourself deeper, have you confirmed your PSU is working?
Multimeter across the low voltage pins, is there 24v present?
I don't have a multimeter at home, but when I got the wheel first time, it powered up, at least, as you see, in the first video, and the green light is on, so if Fanatec didn't mess up the PSU, during the RMA, then I guess it should be okay. Already opened a ticket at fanatec support.

Thank you, hope It will get sorted out fast as possible, but anyways, it's not okay to get back a faulty unit after RMA service, they aren't taking us seriously. Where you, and your money are not valued...
Well, i would like to see some % how many products is defdected what fanascam sell. I can only talk my experiences and 2 of 3 bases have been defected and got RMA. Years ago CSL elite was ok. Then DD pro and Podium i had to send back. Both cases over month waiting extra.
thanks to you first of all, but also thanks to FanaSCAM for returning everyone's money, or to those who haven't yet due to the BF debacle. and let them keep the 25% voucher, we don't need it. have this fear that something won't work and you paid a lot? I wouldn't thank you.
Little update, I received an email today, that they issued an rma, and I will receive a replacement unit, so as I think, they will not try to repair this again, they will just send a new one. It seems that everything is starting to go well again, we'll see.
having abit of a rollercoaster myself rn, waiting on a response from fanatec support, how long were you waiting just for a response? because its been a week so far which should be a long wait but im sure ill be waiting even longer
