DD Extreme compatible with CS DD (12nm)

Hello,
I am yet to find a definitive answer, if the new DD Extreme wheel would be compatible (with a metal QR2) with my CS DD(12nm) and wouldnt be limited to 8nm?
I actually do like the wheel and price-wise it's exactly what I'm looking for to upgrade from my P1. The Porsche Enduro wheel is unfortunately too expensive.

compatible should be if you can get your hands on it separate. Its not sold separately at the moment. And should not be limited since it can handle the dd+.
It is not compatible with any other base we know of so it might be locked to that single base? It could have everything to do with the new security chip? And I would think it should be DD Pro compatible. I'm not sure if it even works on that?
But like Linus said. You can't even get it separately. Hopefully everyone knows by the time they go on Ebay.
The security chip is in the base, not the wheel. So the wheel should work on any Fanatec base with the QR2.
The Wheel will ONLY work on a CS DD+ Base.
I personally dont know if it works on regular CS DD though, but every other Base immediately crashes when you attach the wheel as the code of the wheel was not implemented into any other base as of now.
Good to know, I didn't realize the wheel itself would be bound to a specific base.
Yes, I know it's not sold separately duh, but there's this thing called the Used market
but if you cant even use that for example DD2 or csl DD then this Used market is kind-off useless for that wheel
Did you read my question? I would be using it on basically the same wheelbase, just 3nm less and no PS compatibility.
