BROKEN STEERING WHEEL UNDER WARRANTY: THIS IS THE FANATEC RESPONSE
Good morning everyone,
I'll briefly summarize, I opened a support ticket because my Fanatec Mclaren steering wheel after 1 year of life literally broke the left grip.
After 1 month of waiting and several reminders, their response was to send the steering wheel at my expense and then (I report the exact words):
" After we receive the unit(s), our technician will proceed with an inspection in order to find a root cause of the issue. A quotation for the repair will then be created and forwarded to you. At this point, you can decide between 3 options:
1. Accept the quotation and proceed with the repair.
2. Decline the quotation and have us send the unit(s) back as-is. Return shipping charges will apply.
3. Decline the quotation; have the units properly disposed by us at no additional cost.
Let me know if you have any further questions in the meantime, and I will be happy to assist.

I am speechless, they totally ignored the fact that the steering wheel is still under warranty.

Sadly, you're going to just have to respond to the email to reiterate your claim. No idea what that response time will be.
But you mentioned it's a year old. Which is the standard warranty. Did you extend that at purchase or did you get the ticket in before the year was up?

Of course I replied, but I bet they will reply to me in another 30 days.
Someone in another post wrote that they are overloaded with work, I wonder if maybe all the bases and the Fanatec steering wheels are breaking just now, I don't think so.
Anyway it is absurd to have to wait 30 days to have an answer and if you have something to say you have to wait another 30 days to have an answer.
Such nice words from the new CEO that clash with the reality of the facts.
New update:
Fanatec assistance answered me today so after a couple of days and they sent me the shipping label at their expense for the warranty repair.
It was my duty to update what I wrote yesterday. Let's hope they are quick in the repair/replacement now.
