i think there is already clear win. if comes qr1 that thing is a shit in my eyes so you not lose nothing really at there.
but you cant mount without that.
also keep in mind QR2 is a fanatec new standard in future. buy qr1 is little bit pointless. if you want upgrade and so on. it would be much harder with QR1.
Judging by the pictures, the QR2 Type C Base-side Lite seems to have the wheel sitting closer to the wheelbase. Is this the case, and how are items like the Clubsport static shifters effected by the QR2 Base-side Lite's design?
Thanks Allan. The difference looks bigger than what it actually is. It may be better to have the Type C Lite rather than the Type C... But it's almost negligible. 2cm isn't much.

Did you notice that the QR2 in the picture, looks a much more budget part to the normal upgrade C- type part.
yeah i personally saw this already. but that material what they use is kind off strong, i guess its en-oh for 8nm
they to sell metal one tho separately if some have doubts about that
thing is user not need spend extra 70 eurs for get that QR2, that is already good for customer as by default QR2 is way better than QR1
Hi together!
Today I ordered a csl dd qr2. I chose a qr1 adapter for the steering wheel. After my order I recognize that the csl dd is with qr2.
So get I forced to buy a qr2 adapter for the steering wheel or is it possible to connect the base and the wheel without a qr?
Thank you in advance!
i guess this qr1 part is not fully resolved yet because they still sell also qr1 setups. users may need look closely what they buy
Okay. so I need a qr2 if my base has a qr 2 and have to pay 60€ more for the steering wheel. 😒
But I think the qr just make sense if you use more than one wheel. I have no chance to mount it without?
Sorry for the may stupid question. But it´s my first fanatec and I can´t find a answer online.
60€ eurs is way less than 110 eurs.

Okay.
Many thanks for the fast respond!

cap should be around 2 cm smaller from metal one, that not affects anything by default
qr2 self is still 7cm that would push steering wheel away around 7,5cm
Clubsport self had the steering wheel holder very close to base aswell

While i dont agree with it being plastic i actually really like that the shaft is shorter
Hopefully fanatec makes the shorter shaft standard to buy seperately as im still on QR1
