What happened to drivers/FW?
Anyone hoping to get rid of the disconnects with 457?
458 2025?
457 April 2024
456 February 2024

Bankruptcy happened!
Wrong. Insolvency happened, not bankruptcy! Big difference.
Whatever, no money and I wouldn´t count for anything until this case is tapped and there is new owner for company.
The multiple driver releases at the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024 were pretty surprising, but there were products going to market that needed support.
I too expect the financial position has something to do with with the drought of updates since, but who can know unless they tell us?
I have also had some really great direct support from the Driver Devs themselves.
They have been great, and i really hope things turn around for them and for those of us who depend on them.
Like many of us, not all of my issues have been solved, but wish the best for that team and the rest of the employees at Fanatec. If that happens then we will all benefit.
its almost year now and still dd/dd++ have issues from release day
little pit more and first wave DD warranties starts end for usa people ?
Yup, I have a DD+ I have an M4 wheel and BMR. they all have issues. They all need software love.
question is tho why it takes so long ? fanatec does not have that many different products compared thrustmaster
Where does the M4 wheel Firmware needs love? What's wrong with it?
What? This is lol.
Fanatec has the biggest Eco System in the entire Simracing World with several dozens of products.
i don't see this like you. i see allot repeatable products with different steering wheel rims
and those repeatable products most likely have also same firmware.
Almost a year; not even close. People started getting their "handed to warehouse" notifications around February 7th for the DD+. That's a little over six months.
you maybe true at that. but fanatec expo self was in year 2023 where they promo they product first time
so i'm kind off sure some people get that product before February
The only ones who got it were those who were going to review it. The rest of us were chomping at the bit, to get ours.
Currently the LED Buttons are Buggy. I had versions that worked, So I know it can work. But recently i have been running 457 and 460 beta drivers and firmware to solve and track other issues i am having. Could be Fanalabs for all i know.
The real issue with Drivers and Firmware is that I have several wheels with different issues and am waiting for a driver that solves them all.
My main point is that software fixes would go a long way to help Fanatac, it's employees, and consumers right now.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed until we hear more.
i'm little pessimist because what i seen allot, when they fix something, something new and even more worse may come out next.
but my stuff all currently work. so its not total hopeless
The broken Button LEDS are purely an issue of the Wheel Base Firmware of the CS DD and not limited to the M4 wheel, also applies to the GT X wheel for example.
There are zero known Firmware issues with the M4 Firmware.
Thanks. That's good to know. :)
I hear you. I get super frustrated too. I have plenty Fanatec stuff and the issue rate has not been super. But I also want what i have to work and i need a healthy Fanatec system.
Plus, like so many other people, I have been through the ringer when it comes to job stability, and most of those issues come from a corporate level and not an employee level. So I just wish i saw some more love for the people who put in all the real work ;)
That all has nothing to do with Firmware. That is all up to game developers.
Maybe you can deliver the message and also do variety of other button designs.
