My wheelbase is still broken after 3 months, and Fanatec doesn't answer to emails
Hey,
Few months ago (March / April), I had an issue with my wheelbase (CSL DD 8Nm), Fanatec answered me as fast as they could, got my wheel during the second or third week of May, and everything worked like normal again. I bought this wheelbase in March 2022, and the first round of repairs was covered by warranty.
I was happy to drive again without the issue, which was that the wheelbase (regardless of the wheel being used or the game) felt scratchy or like you could feel some electric inside the wheelbase after 10 minutes of driving, which altered feeling while driving. This was not normal considering a direct drive should be smooth without any annoyances.
However, in the second week of June, my wheelbase had the exact same issue again. (in a even worse). I emailed Fanatec using the same ticket as before. On July 5th, I received a reply from them, only telling me to record a video, disregarding my comments in previous emails.
Of course, I replied to them, and since then, nothing. No answer. I sent two emails since then in August, with no reply. I asked them to do something about my case on Facebook and received a reply stating that they had forwarded my concern to their support team, but still no answer.
Perhaps even worse, in an attempt to create a new ticket, considering I had no reply for two months, their website could not even accept my new ticket, asking for a subject and a message for the ticket (which I obviously included).
Since March, I have had the opportunity to drive with a functional wheelbase for two weeks. I also had the chance to try another CSL DD 8Nm at a friend's place, which confirms that my wheelbase has an issue, as his own does not behave like this.
This is really frustrating, considering sim racing is probably my main hobby. With September coming up, all the leagues, special events on iRacing, or just driving on my own for fun—all of this is gone because Fanatec doesn't have proper support (or I'm getting boycott by Fanatec for whatever reason) . I'm thinking of buying another wheelbase (from a different company, of course) if this can't be fixed quickly, even though it's going to be difficult to make my steering wheel compatible, for example.
I suppose some people are in the same situation as me. If you have any advice to give me on what to do, I will happily take it. Thanks for reading everything, and hoping everything will comeback to normal fast !

Hey I got the same issue. 3 weeks ago two pins in my Mclaren GT3 wheel broke. First Fanatec send me an email with photo request and after that nobody is respond to my emails. Unprofessional aproach to the customer. It was last time when I bought anything from them.
fanatec steering wheel pins does not break down that easy.
I have the same problem. Both my wheels are damaged... the Mclaren wheel the switches are activated while doing nothing.
Meanwhile i used my second round wheel... But that broke too (same as the wheel of a friend). I wonder how good the quality is of those wheels .
base can damage steering wheels as well if that self is broken or if something wrong with power supply. just saying
