CSL DD Stuck with blinking blue LED light asking for Firmware update

While racing in iRacing, my CSL DD wheel base disconnected mid-race and the light turned yellow. After rebooting, it kept asking for a firmware update. I applied the update, but the wheel base now requests a firmware update every time I boot it up.
I followed advice from forums to reattach the shaft, which temporarily fixed the issue, but after a few more races, it disconnected again, bringing back the firmware update loop. Reattaching the QR2 base side didn’t help anymore, so I upgraded to the aluminium QR2 base side, but the problem persists. Tried drivers 454 and 455.
Fanatec support hasn’t responded in over a week, and I’ve only had the base for 4 months. Any advice?

it could be that some drivers auto shut off, it been happened before in past, you to can check them in device manager i guess

i see it like its a communication issue between base and pc. they have this weird automated firmware system, if connection fails or something it turns into forever loop
