The whistle coil solution DD+

In search of a whistle, I disassembled the back cover of the base, found where the sound comes from, this is a drosel 8R2, I did not change it, since at the moment there is no such thing and it needs to be ordered, I made it easier when clicking on the board in the place indicated in the photo, the sound is eliminated, I installed a piece of plastic in this place and pressed it with the back The lid and the whistle are gone.

inductor but ok
they to have coil inside so yes they can make sound
this is also called Drossel in hydraulic so yeah 😉
My message was written through a translator, maybe some words were translated incorrectly.🙃
I've been lucky not to have the whine. But thank you for locating the source if I ever do when out of warranty.
If damping material won't fix it, noticed the part is available from Mouser Electronics in the USA.
you need know also value of Amps
those stuff never that easy like you think
Guys, I'm sorry, I initially gave incorrect information, the sound comes from another element , today I decided to take it for repair and the master showed me everything, this element does not need to be changed, I just reinstalled it and that's it, now complete silence. I used a translator when writing this text.
This is something like a voltage regulator, it does not fit tightly to the board and this causes a squeak, so when you click on the board, the squeak disappears
So it is a socketed chip? Pushing it firmly in ceases the squealing? If that's the case Fanatec should have issued instructions on the simple solution instead of RMA shipping.
Btw, you can use a piece of hose like a stethoscope to locate noises, one end in your ear and probe around to find the noise source.
This chip is soldered , I gave it to a computer workshop for repair
They just reinstalled it there , it is in good working order , but apparently it is installed incorrectly
you have there nearby another coil, that could make also noise,
that chip what you show image self should not make any noise
but if there was a bad soldering and if there was one off chip leg open then yes it could cause some bad sounds in the other components what is nearby
That's exactly what happened , it was just reinstalled and the sound was gone
