DD Shaft Extension Weight Limit?

Hello,
Is there a weight limit on the DD Shaft Extension? I’m going to couple it to a 3 pound MOMO wheel, plus the weight of a Universal Hub and the full metal QR2 - and this assembly is quite heavy. If I had to approximate it’s probably twice as heavy as a CSL wheel such as the McLaren. Will this be an issue, even so far as shortening the life of the DD+?
Thank you.

This weight is not a problem for the DD shaft extension.
of course it is, its not even recommend add two shaft together
That's because of the extra leverage, not because of the extra weight.
A 3 pound wheel rim mounted on a Uni Hub with metal QR2 is totally fine.
Thank you Maurice & Hristo
Hey Sean!
The DD Shaft Extension is designed to handle typical sim racing setups, including heavier components like a Universal Hub, QR2, and even larger wheels. However, combining these with a 3 pound wheel does result in a significantly heavier assembly compared to standard setups like the CSL McLaren wheel. While this won’t necessarily damage the Direct Drive system, the added weight may increase stress on the shaft and bearings, potentially affecting long-term performance. For optimal durability, we recommend balancing your setup and avoiding extreme weights.

3 pounds are 1.36 kg. A UH with QR2 weights around 1kg, so in total the wheel would have around 2.3 kg. We have heavy wheels like the Podium GT World Challenge which has a weight if 2.25 kg. So just 100g more is definitely absolutely no issue for the Shaft Extension ;)
