McLaren GT3 V2 Not Recognized by CSL DD Base

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out because I’m having an issue with my McLaren GT3 V2 wheel. I purchased it on October 6, 2024, and it’s no longer being recognized by my CSL DD base.
Here’s what’s happening:
- The small screen on the wheel doesn’t light up when I connect it to the base.
- The base works perfectly with other peripherals, such as my pedals.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Installed the latest drivers (version 463).
- Confirmed that the base and other components are functioning normally.
Despite this, the wheel remains unresponsive.
Here’s my setup for reference:
- Base: CSL DD (latest firmware installed)
- Wheel: McLaren GT3 V2
- Drivers: Version 463
- OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
If anyone has experienced a similar issue or has any suggestions, I’d really appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!
Théo 😄

Do you have other steering wheels to check if they work?
No, this is my first experience with a DD and also with fanatec.
Is it just the screen that doesn't work or everything on the steering wheel?
With QR1 or with QR2 is the base?
Hi Théo! Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with your McLaren GT3 V2 wheel. It sounds like you've already done some great troubleshooting, so let's try a few more steps. We recommend double-checking the USB connection and ensuring the wheel is securely connected to the base. If that doesn’t help, it may be a good idea to contact our support team directly, they can assist with any further diagnostics if needed. Best, your Fanatec team.
It seemed like I had no power in my steering wheel, even though it was properly plugged into the base (QR2). I reset the base and the Fanatec software, reinstalled the drivers, and everything is working again. However, I still don’t know what caused the issue. Thanks for the help anyway! :)
