Hi Regis! Thanks for sharing your experience. The Fanatec Handbrake V2 is fully compatible with the DD+ base and works in supported games, but it sounds like EA WRC might be experiencing input conflicts. Since it works on Dirt 2.0, the issue may lie in how EA WRC handles peripheral detection. Here’s what we suggest:

1️⃣ Reconnect and Reassign: Disconnect the handbrake, start EA WRC, and reconnect it once the game is running. Check the game’s settings to reassign the handbrake input.

2️⃣ Firmware Check: Ensure that both the DD+ base and handbrake are on the latest firmware through the Fanatec Control Panel. Compatibility often improves with updates.

3️⃣ Game Update: Confirm that EA WRC is updated to the latest version, as patches often address hardware-related issues.

4️⃣ RJ12 Connection: Double-check the RJ12 cable connection to ensure it's secure. Try using another port on the DD+ base if possible.

If these steps don’t resolve it, feel free to contact our support team for further assistance. It’s possible this may need attention on the game developer’s side as well. Let us know how it goes! 🙌

Some other thread was saying that connecting device to wrong port will cause serious damage, so what is the truth?
