Which is the difference between Clubsport and Podium Porsche 911 GT3 Wheel versions?

Hi friends, i have DD1 Base and i would like to buy Porsche 911 GT3 steering wheel.
I see there are two versions, Clubsport and Podium.
Clubsport: https://fanatec.com/eu-en/steering-wheels/clubsport-steering-wheel-porsche-911-gt3-r-leather
Podium: https://fanatec.com/eu-en/steering-wheels/podium-steering-wheel-porsche-911-gt3-r-leather
I have two questions:
1.-Which is the difference between both versions?
2.-Can i use both versions with my DD1 base? or i need anything to use Clubsport version?
3.-I have DD1 base, i have to buy Podium version?
4.-Or it advisable to buy podium version?
Thanks

you want the podium version for the dd1, the clubsport is a combination for someone with a csl or v2.5 to make it compliant to those bases.
This is incorrect. I think what is confusing you is that the Endurance button box will, at launch, only be compatible with Podium wheel bases. Both the Universal hub and the Podium hub are compatible with CSL, Clubsport and Podium wheelbases.
When Fanatec release a firmware update to make the Endurance button box compatible with the Clubsport wheelbase, both the Podium and Clubsport versions of this wheel will be equally compatible.
wishful thinking mate. I have evidence to the contrary from a reliable source and why would they waste anymore time on something that will be obsolete in less than a year, are u waiting for that last project cars 2 update for console too?
further more, when fanatec is called on it, they will blame it on the developer and the consoles lack of support, rather than their own oversight in overstating the capabilities of their products in marketing.
I've been riding this console rollercoaster for 2 years now, im only closer to getting my issues resolved because im about sick of empty promises and about to just buy a pc.
I have no idea what you are trying to say.
This thread is about the differences between the CSB and Podium wheel and which is best for a DD base
My information on the Endurance button box and compatibility is from the product page - https://fanatec.com/eu-en/detail/index/sArticle/870
Peripherals
Wheel Bases:
Note: Compatibility to the ClubSport Wheel Base V2.5 will follow in a future firmware update, with the display operating in Legacy Mode.
whatever, good luck with that, the believing everything your sales person tells u
You still don't get it.
yeah, i guess not. Someone will figure out?
its a replica, intended to work, not required nor guaranteed. it says so in the fine print. so fanatec shouldn't say it gonna work sooner or later? 🤦♂️ cheaper model is compatible with both, but if u load if on the dd1/2 its gonna fall apart on reccomended settings. The podium model is a solid hunk of aluminum for the direct drive base?
Buy the solid hunk of aluminum, who cares if it works because it looks cooler too.
The cheaper one (ClubSport version) is NOT compatible with both. The ClubSport version of the Porsche Wheel is also only compatible with DD Bases at launch and with limited functionality with csw v2.5 in Q1 2020!
It's EXACTLY how Gary already said in his first answer to this question. Nothing more to add, thread can be closed.
Are these wheels still shipping on december 16th???
good question, i suspect they will, but a nascar on clubsport hub will probably show up for me.
They changed the date to the 20th, but my order still shows 16th for me. So I expect it for the 16th.
Nice ,u have a confirmation, i got nada.
Oh well, coal for me on Xmas, good to see the xmas cheer went the way of the advent calendar.
Frankly, i would of been disappointed if they would of delivered something on time and as expected. 🤷♂️
Not directly confirmed, but if you look up your orders in your account you should still see the 16th. Let's see what they might tell us tomorrow...
i did, no confirmed anything there.
still waiting for an explanation as to why my Dd1 3 yr warranty turned to 9 months and is starting from my preorder date and not delivery or registration date , so its essentially a 5 month warranty.
